Brianna graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in Sociology and Law, Societies, & Justice. Her experience growing up in an immigrant family and as a woman of color lead her to study inequality in social and legal systems. She took a range of classes, including those on disability rights, international human rights, and ethnic studies classes on African-American and Asian-American history. Brianna has a diverse pool of knowledge on and passion for social justice. Prior to BEST, Brianna was a paralegal for a civil rights law firm. She worked with clients who were inmates and clients who experienced workplace gender and racial discrimination.
Brianna is excited to work with BEST’s partners and corporate donors to share how social structures lead people to become vulnerable to labor and sex trafficking.
Brianna enjoys spending her time outdoors, whether that’s lounging on a picnic blanket in a park, going on long walks, or hiking. She also likes listening to music, podcasts and doing puzzles.
